Summer Sup, Grade Five Turf

There they were. Out on the track in the early morning, all lone seeing it was their own private one and nobody could come along and distrupt them. One more win, just one more and she'd be in Grade Four. The first horse that Alice had ever trained by herself from Maiden to reach Grade Four at Darkest Dream's Stable. They were up against some of their own horses and as much as she wanted them to do well, she wanted this young filly to just win and she had what she needed in order to do so. It was another day were they struggled a little to get her to stay sit and let them saddle her up, check all her gear and that she was ready to go. Beltane was spoiled a little today, it was their final work out before the big Summer Cup race so Alice didn't see any harm but they didn't have any time to waste.

She has a slow start to the year but quickly she was moving up. The young thoroughbred was always coming out with surprises which would shock Alice and the rest of the stable but at the same time make her proud. As soon as they stepped out onto the tracks though she was starting to become rather impatient. It was another solo training session while Parallel Universe and Tsubasa's Dreams has their duo which just meant that the two could have the track to themsleves, for now. Patting her black neck with a few gentle strokes, she squeezed her legs in order to get the young filly into a graceful trot. Bella has other plans, not wanting to just tort but attempted to get herself into a canter but as soon as Alice pushhed back on those reins, she had no choice but to just stay there and do a quick trot.

Being all jumpy and full of energy today, she didn't want to stay here and just move 'slowly'. Of course Alice took notice of them and just sighed before letting the two year old have more of her head and allowing her to lengthen her strides into a canter. Seeing she hadn't been out on the race track for a while with other horses, it might just make it that little bit harder to get her into the gate and happily out there with all the other horses. No was no mistake she was looking to through around a death glare or two in order to tell everyone to just back off. There was no mistake that her sire was Warlock with the way she could act out there on the race track along with her muscular look. Alice could feel her mount under her, ready to just go and run without stopping. That was all she wanted to do right now, just run.

The plan was to go four about six furlongs, something that Bella could easily do although the race was ten furlongs long. As soon as they were ready to finally go, Bella was quickly accelerating without a second though as she moved down the track. She was quick. Without any competition she was properly not as quick as she normally one but still her strides were nice and long as she didn't dare slow down. Like always she tried to use most of her energy at the start which was great for short races but not for this type of race. Alice was keeping her at a steady pace, not letting the two year go any faster so she didn't waste all her energy at the first few furlongs. Bella kept a steady pace until she hit the four furlong mark which was were Alice was allowing the young filly to accelerate.

She crossed the finish line and was starting to slow down a bit, still wanting to run but Alice wasn't going to let her. She needed to have all the energy she could get for the Summer Cup. Like always, she was proud of the black thoroughbred and knew that they were ready. They would be ready for whatever the race would throw at them.
